Our Story

Little Richard’s BBQ was founded in 1991 by Nick Karagiorgis and Gary Sizemore. Over the years, the Little Richard’s BBQ family has grown to five locations: Clemmons, Yadkinville, Mt. Airy, Walkertown, and Winston-Salem (Stratford Road).

Now operated by the second generation of the Karagiorgis family, we are proud to still be family-owned and rooted in the same traditions and values that started it all. We’ve spent more than three decades perfecting the art of BBQ, smoking our pork low and slow over hickory for 16 hours. It’s a craft we take seriously and a tradition we’ll never compromise.

Our recipes, handed down through generations, stay true to their Lexington-style roots. From our signature vinegar-based “dip” to every rack of ribs, brisket, chicken, and sausage that comes out of the smoker, we are committed to preserving North Carolina’s BBQ legacy while offering something special for everyone.

Our "Bar-N-Que" (located in Winston-Salem on Stratford Road) represents the evolution of our business, featuring an expanded menu, a full-service bar, and private dining spaces. While this location brings fresh offerings, all of our restaurants remain grounded in the same values of quality, tradition, and warm hospitality.
